Thank you for that! The games when the Wolves get hammered really are hard to watch, because at times they didn’t even compete.

I strongly agree on the two needs, an outside game from multiple sources is REQUIRED for a successful triangle offense. Its funny how we have two very good power forwards, but no true center, Hollins is improving, but he’s not a powerful guy. (Accept his dunking ability)

This is and will be a true fan site for this club, and it can be a nice alternative for the mainstream ESPN type of news prints out there. Relevancy is definitely the objective here at Timberwolves Press!
Thank you for signing up to the boards here, you’re a perfect addition!

Great comment Paladino. I agree this team is far more fun to watch...that said, I don't get to see every game they play...and only then on replay and tend to avoid the games when they get hammered.

We have 2 needs: a true C; and a SG/SF. If we really want this 'triangle' to work we MUST get someone who is a constant threat from outside, and who can hit a consistent jumper from 10 to 18 feet. Then we can start that rapid pass first offence and spread the defence.

I think it is great that there is a true fan site for the wolves. The team needs to be relevant in all media. Hopefully this site can continue to be relevant.

There you go! Hopefully things do work out here and Rubio is on the way. I believe the source is credible, and it seems more and more that the "body language" appears to be heading our direction! Good job, looking forward to hearing from you soon!

I agree with you Cole. I'd be fine with Jackson as an assistant, but I'm not high on him as the head. I hope they decide on Rambis.

It seems that everyone comes up with Jackson or Rambis as the favorite, I wish it would just happen already.

One thing I noticed though, Rambis did coach the Lakers back in 1999 when he replaced the fired Del Harris for a few months. Kurt, was coach when the Lakers acquired Dennis Rodman, and had an extended winning streak, then went down the tank. Phil Jackson, as when know from history, then took over the following summer, and lead the Lakers to a three-peat. Rambis was kept as an assistant ever since, and now is the heir apparent to the job, or will be Wolves coach.

I really hope that it doesn't end up being true that we go with Jackson, he has no coaching experience! Yeah he would be good as a mentor for Flynn and Rubio but he could do that as an assistant. Rambis should be the choice. He is an assistant for one of the most decorated coaches in NBA history and before that I believe he was an assistant general manager so he is proven to be a good evaluator of talent helping bring in role players along side KB24. I guess it just makes too much sense for the Wolves to hire him.

This is how I always remembered him from back in the day-

[...] TimberwolvesPress.com gives the trade an A: “I like this deal a lot for us because we filled two huge roster needs by bring in 1) a veteran point guard in Atkins and 2) a veteran wing player in Wilkins. With Telfair out the door, we were left with Bobby Brown backing up Jonny Flynn at the PG position. Now we have a serviceable guy in Atkins who can provide leadership and will occasionally have some nice scoring nights running the point. Wilkins’ name may sound familiar to some of you, that’s because we actually signed him to an offer sheet back in 2005 when Wilkins was a member of the Seattle Supersonics. I’ve always like Wilkins as a player, he’s nothing more than a back-up, but he is an athletic perimeter player who has a nice jump shot. Both of these players should have key roles off the bench next season and possibly in the starting lineup from time-to-time. The best part of this deal is we gave up virtually nothing. Etan Thomas’ value on our team was very low considering we already have Al Jefferson and Kevin Love ahead of him on the depth chart, so moving him was nothing worth crying over. I’ve also heard that Thomas is quite the head case and that he got in several disputes with his teammates in the past, most notably Brendan Haywood.” [...]
